Cameco Fund for Mental Health grants $700,000 to mental health initiatives in Saskatchewan
This year’s grants, worth $700,000, will support 24 projects directly benefitting Saskatchewan communities, as well as organizations that provide province-wide services. The projects range in scope from no-cost counselling in northern Saskatchewan to mental health support for frontline workers. Cameco’s Step Up for Mental Health initiative had its most successful year ever, raising $88,000 to support mental health initiatives in Northumberland County and area and $19,000 to support organizations undertaking projects that promote or protect mental health in the Blind River area. The application period for the Fund for Mental Health is now open and closes at 5 p.m. on November 2, 2023.
