Step Up for Mental Health, powered by Cameco, goes virtual!

In light of COVID-19 restrictions that require physical distancing and limit mass gatherings, this year’s Step Up for Mental Health run/walk will be a virtual event. Even if we can’t be in the same place, we can still come together for mental health.
Even though we're going virtual for 2020, we're still committed to giving you an amazing experience with great value and incredible swag. Most importantly, every dollar of your registration fee, plus a matching amount from Cameco, supports mental health projects in Saskatchewan.

How it works
  • For the virtual event, choose your own starting line, whether it's a treadmill or an outdoor route in your community.
  • Complete your race distance (5K or 10K) between Oct. 7-12
  • Upload your finishing time through Race Roster and you’ll receive your medal in the mail. (We’ll email detailed upload instructions to all registered participants closer to the event.)
  • Plus, you still get all of your Step Up swag* – that’s a race shirt, bunnyhug and backpack – in advance so you can look sharp stepping up! (*Student price includes backpack and medal only.)

5K or 10K STUDENTS
(ages 6-18)
 $25 fee includes Step Up backpack and custom medal

(students who wish to receive the full complement of swag including shirts are welcome to sign up at the $45 adult level)
5K or 10K ADULTS
Due to overwhelming response, the early-bird block is already full. The adult price is now $55.* Register now to avoid disappointment!

$55* fee includes a Step Up technical shirt, Step Up hoodie, Step Up backpack and custom medal.

* Entry fee will increase to $65 as the event fills up.

5K or 10K SPECIAL
(can include support person)

Free entry for individuals who struggle with addictions and/or mental health issues.

A staff member/formal support person accompanying someone in this category can also sign up here.


(Children 5-and-under can participate for free when accompanied by an adult)

Participants can also set up a pledge page to collect donations for Step Up for Mental Health. Please see this helpful tutorial to learn how.

All donations to Step Up for Mental Health support the Cameco Fund for Mental Health established through the Saskatoon Community Foundation. These funds are disbursed annually to organizations undertaking projects that promote or support mental health. Applications for funding are adjudicated by a panel that includes mental health professionals, as well as representatives from Cameco, the Saskatoon Community Foundation and the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt from the Saskatoon Community Foundation.

*Please note that all registration fees for the 5K/10K run/walk are matched by Cameco, but individual donations are not.
