Step Up 2021
Step Up for Mental Health, powered by Cameco, returned for a virtual 5K/10K event on Oct. 1-6, 2021.
The 2021 Step Up for Mental Health virtual event raised more than $439,000 through registration fees (matched by Cameco) and donations.
Thanks to your support of Step Up for Mental Health, the Cameco Fund for Mental Health has now awarded more than $1.2 million to make a difference in Saskatchewan.
This year’s grants will support 22 projects directly benefitting 17 Saskatchewan communities.
“The challenges raised by the pandemic over the last two years have further complicated the mental health crisis in our communities,” said Cameco CEO Tim Gitzel. “Yet, we are inspired by the organizations working hard to provide new and creative solutions.
“We are also grateful to the Step Up participants – 10,000-plus since 2019 – who have raised not only funds, but also their voices to help end the stigma surrounding mental health.”
Step Up is powered by Cameco in partnership with Brainsport and the Saskatoon Community Foundation.
