Event information

Will there be a live event?

For 2023, Saskatchewan participants can choose between a live event Sept. 24 in Saskatoon, or a virtual event (to be completed between Sept. 17-24). Please note that virtual registration will be capped at 1000 participants. Registration opens April 27 at 9 a.m. CST.

In the event that a live event is not feasible due to public health restrictions or other circumstances beyond our control, all registrants will be transitioned to a virtual event.

What time does the race start on Sept. 24 in Saskatoon?

The 10K and 21.1K participants start at 8:30 a.m. in Diefenbaker Park, followed by the 5K participants at 9:30 a.m. All registered participants will receive a full event guide with detailed information closer to the event.

What is a virtual event?

Please note that virtual registration is capped at 1000 participants. Here’s how it works:

  1. Choose your own starting line, whether that’s a treadmill or an outdoor route in your community
  2. Complete your race distance (5K, 10K or 21.1K) between Sept 17-24
  3. Submit your time online. (All registered participants will receive an email with detailed upload instructions closer to the event.)

I’m not comfortable participating in the live event, or I live too far away. Can I still register?

Yes. The 2023 run/walk includes a virtual option which is limited to 1000 registrations. If you register as a virtual participant, you're welcome to participate in your home community and submit your results according to instructions that will be emailed to all registered participants. Please note that virtual registration is limited to Canada and US participants due to high international shipping costs.
